The 2014 Norma K Hemming award short list is in!

Established in 2010, the award recognises excellence in the thematic exploration of race, gender, sexuality, class and disability in science fiction by Australian authors and in works produced in Australia.

Twelfth Planet Press were the big winners from this year’s nominations with two works making the short list, while Allen & Unwin, HarperVoyager, Random House and UK-based Tartarus Press picking up one nod each:

The trophy will be presented to the winner at the 2014 Continuum X ‘Carnival of Lost Souls’, the 53rd Australian Science Fiction Convention, in Melbourne on 6-9 June.
